A kitchen island is sized from the working aisles inward, then built for the storage, seating or prep space your room can support.
What decides it
Measure the island only after subtracting the clearances required by open appliances, stools and through-traffic. A smaller island that keeps the room moving is more useful than a larger one that blocks it.

A good island gives you prep space, storage and seating without taking away the aisle. We size it from the clearances outward, then plan the drawers, overhang, power and any plumbing inside it.
