A heated kitchen floor places an electric warming system and thermostat beneath tile, connected by a licensed electrical contractor.
What decides it
Heat belongs only in the open walking and working areas, not beneath fixed cabinets. Mat layout, thermostat location and available electrical capacity must be coordinated before tile installation.
Why this is worth doing properly
Tile exposes rushed preparation. We set out backsplash courses around the range, hood and outlets before cutting, and flatten and stiffen the floor before installing material that cannot hide movement underneath it.
