Cabinet knobs and pulls are drilled from a jig so their height and spacing stay consistent across every door and drawer.
What decides it
New pulls must cover any existing holes or the doors need repair first. Once the centerline is agreed, a jig keeps every bore consistent across the run.
Why this is worth doing properly
Cabinetry occupies more of the room than anything else, so the order must account for appliances, trim, fillers and corners that are not square. We set the boxes level, fasten them to framing and scribe the finish to the walls that actually exist.

Aisles, appliance doors, the distance from sink to range and clearance behind the stools are drawn to scale first. Correcting the layout after cabinets arrive is no longer a design change.
